Here are some more information for Brake Vent:

No doubt about it. Every driver at some point in their automotive driving career will experience the pleasure and challenge in driving in very heavy rain. It may just come as a cloudburst as they drive along a highway or turnpike. It may be part of a very serious weather condition such as a hurricane or major environmental condition. Hail may or may not be involved. Yet all in all it is no fun, and indeed scary and indeed dangerous to feel that you and your vehicle are sheering along on a surface of water, with very little driving control and that at any moment you may both not know where other vehicles are on the adjacent roadway, that you have little control over your vehicle and braking and that ultimately it is a dangerous situation to be in. How can you best prepare and be prepared for the eventuality of you as a driver of an automobile to be placed in the situation of having to drive in a blinding rainstorm or worse?
First of all when driving in heavy rainstorm type conditions you can bet and count on that your windows will "fog up" in no time at all and leave you "running blind". You will have few cues as to conditions on the road and the placement of other vehicles in your path and on the roadway. What to do. First of all many people pull off the road entirely. Yet in many situations - as on freeways this may not be possible, practical and downright illegal according to the police and your local state traffic laws.
First in terms of simple prevention as well as regular, ongoing auto care and maintenance take the time and effort to clean the inside of your front windshield or windscreen every few months with a commercial glass cleaner and a standard newspaper. It is a known and accepted fact in auto safety and automotive safe training classes that a clean windshield will not fog in conditions of high humidity and rain anywhere near as bad or as easily as a residue laid, dirty non-cleaned glass windshield.
Second make it a practice to vehicles' wiper blades on a regular and ongoing basis before they begin to show wear. Some auto owners replace the rubber blades themselves every year, some every two years. The key point is regular, planned maintenance - not when the blades begin to show wear - either by wiping the window only partially, or when the blade begins to streak across your window and you become concerned that the rubber on the blades is exposing metal surfaces which may well scratch your exterior window surface. The key is that by regular maintenance and a preventative tack you will not be in an emergency situation where your wiper blades only clear part of your view during periods of emergencies and heavy rains. As well it is a good idea to inspect the wiper mechanism arm assembly from time to time for slackness and / or other reasons for replacement.
Of course your vehicles built in heater defog or defrost fan will help clear the front windshield that is if the temperature selector is set to cold or at the lowest end of the temperature range. As well open a window slightly to help move air moving into the car. In many of the colder areas of the country - such as Minnesota and North Dakota as well as the provinces of Canada rear window defoggers and heated rear windows are standard. Turn this switch on as well.
Lastly if you do drive inadvertently through deep puddles in the rain, you run the risk of losing your brakes or reduced braking ability due to the effects of moisture and water itself on the brake linings and friction braking surfaces. To dry these out, in such an emergency setting, auto safety and training experts recommend driving for a block or two stretches with one foot on the gas and other foot applying gentle pressure on the brakes.
Safe driving in most cases is all about planning, preparation and ongoing automobile maintenance. Pleasant driving.

New Looks for the 2008 Jaguar Xj
Luxury cars are known for sporting the most attractive looks among all other vehicles being released in the automobile market. Year after year, luxury car makers continually improve not only the looks of luxury cars but their performance as well. Case in point is the flagship model for Jaguar which has received improvements for the 2008 model year.
The Jaguar XJ already has a wide fan base all over the world for its stunning looks and its equally high-end performance. But the makers of this luxury car are always finding ways to improve the car. Since this flagship model for Jaguar was released, different versions of the car were also added to the lineup of Jaguar. Included in Jaguar’s lineup are the long wheelbase, the special edition Portfolio, armored vehicle, and the long wheelbase diesel versions.
For the 2008 model year, the Jaguar XJ will sport improvements in its exterior styling like the revised upper and lower mesh grilles in addition to a new Jaguar Growler badge. These revisions give the 2008 XJ with a more aggressive look. Another exterior that the 2008 Jaguar XJ sports which is not present on the current model of the vehicle is the side power vents which have been taken straight out of the design concept of the Jaguar XK. The 2008 model comes in four different trim packages. These are the XJ Executive, XJ Sovereign, XJ Sport Premium, and the XJR.
The XJ Executive is the entry level of the range. For this trim level, two engines are available - a 2.7 liter diesel engine and a 3.0 gasoline engine. The Executive trim is fitted with 19” ten spoke alloy Carelia wheels which are also found in the XK. The Executive features heated front screen in addition to the aforementioned revision to the whole range.
The second trim package is the XJ Sovereign. Three engines are available for this trim level. Consumers can choose from a 3.0 liter V6 gasoline engine, a 2.7 liter diesel engine, or a 4.2 liter V8 engine. The Sovereign will be equipped with 19” five-spoke Polaris wheels. Additional features that the Sovereign version offers are: 16-way electric heated front seats, soft-grain leather, satellite navigation system, and Bi-Xenon headlights.
The third trim level for the XJ is the Sport Premium. Only one engine is available for this sports version of the XJ. It is fitted with 20” alloy Cremona 20” wheels which add to the aesthetic value of the sports car. The Sport Premium version of the XJ features ‘R’ seats with leather seat facings, aluminum veneer, black side window surrounds and satellite navigation.
The fourth trim package of the XJ is the XJR. It is powered by a 4.2 supercharged V8 engine. The XJR features aluminum finish power vents, an ‘R’ logo gear knob, heated front seats, and black painted calipers just like some of the brake calipers which can be found at EBC Active Brakes Direct.

also about my 2002 lincoln ls is there is noise coming from like the brakes rotors ect?
there is like a constant scraching noise had the brakes replaced and rotors turned! and still the noise! almost sounds like dust or debri stuck between the pedal and rotor. That has been ruled out any suggestion?
Also my A/c does not kick out really cold air like most other cars...it blows cold and strong in one vent but not the other. I've checked the freon level thats fine air filter is new! the only other thing is lincolns have cabin filters and that might need changing because my status on the dash say ac filter 8% any suggestion?
Try spraying them down good on the insides of the tires with a car wash high pressure wand. Then drive slowly because it will take a few miles for the water to burn off the brakes.
