What do I add in the rear of my pickup truck to get more height?

Hello

I have a 1984 Chev 1-TON Pickup that I turned into a tow tuck. I have a electric wheel lift in back. The other tow truck had bigger tires then then one I have now. I have no problem lifting. My problem is getting more height from the wheel lift. The leaf springs are working just fine. I wouldn't be towing anything heavier then a Astro Van.

What do you suggest I buy to get myself more height(I could use another 7 inches higher when I lift the car up)? Some have told me to add spacers.

What ever I add they have to handle the load of the car being towed. I also herd wheel blocks are not good for the purposes I need. Any ideas?

Well the only ways i know of to get more rear end height are blocks that mount underneath your leaf springs,(they come in 2in,4in &6 inch.) ofcourse you will also need new u-bolts (longer in length)The other way is get bigger leaf springs made up at a spring shop.I;m sure a spring shop could help you for all these things.Good luck

Suspects lead police on chase through Beech Grove
Police were led on an early morning chase in Beech Grove Wednesday, after two vehicles were stolen around 6:00 a.m. off Five Points Road. Both cars crashed, and then at least two suspects ran away. UPDATE: Police are still on the lookout for a second suspect who crashed a stolen pickup truck in Beech Grove Wednesday morning. The owner of the truck hopes police catch him soon.
