Do you get to the end of the week and you know you've been busy but you don't really seem to have achieved anything?

You've been rushing around from pillar to post, feeling as if you're at the beck and call of everyone and everything else, whether it's a ringing phone or a full inbox or people interrupting you while you're working but somehow you don't find time for yourself.

Well, it's a common problem and could be a sign that you're focusing on the wrong things or don't really have any clear plan of what you need to be doing.

Our brains work better if we're able to engage both the right and the left side. Having a linear list or diary appeals to the logic but get creative with it and use some colour to at least stimulate the more creative and visual aspect.

Worksheets and checklists are great for planning and keeping track of time. It feels good to see what needs to be done spread across the week. Use colour to highlight and block out different area where you spend your time. Make it more creative, visual and satisfying.

Even if you're using a diary - you can add some variety by using colour and symbols to identify different tasks - client meetings, admin tasks, research, writing, even your weekly exercise or social appointments. You'll quickly recognise the colour coding and it's easier to read

Even if you already use a diary or online scheduler, a weekly planner provides a one-page record of your diary, action list and goals for the week, making it easier to focus and stay on track.

You can use it for both your business and personal goals and there are ways to create a tracking worksheet you can use for the month or even for a whole year.

It's so much more satisfying and motivating to tick off your achievements and track your progress. It gives you a colourful representation of what you're doing and it encourages you both to focus and do more.

Use Excel or Word to create planners, worksheets and checklists. Alternatively use an A4 pad or whiteboard and a few coloured pens.

The first key behavioral pillar that a body builder must erect is delayed gratification. In delayed gratification, the body builder cultivates an attitude of patience and persistence without resulting to shortcut avenues of growth. One thing that has plagued the body building industry today, is the tendency for people to prefer instantaneous results for everything. The culture of instantaneous solutions has so affected people that rarely do you find individuals willing to invest in the future, to cultivate tomorrow’s harvest or work for the gains that will yield later.

And entrepreneurial minds have come up with products to satisfy this demand, in the name of instant mass building pills, instant fat loss pills, instant training programs, miracle strength pills and so many other flukes that cost a heart and benefit with nothing, besides endangering the health of a consumer. In this age, anabolic steroids and supplement abuse has become a norm, just because people want instant gratification. A body builder aimed for success must therefore learn hoe to pursue real success without falling prey to shortcut avenues.

Again, a body builder intent on achieving success in the venture must also learn absolute fatigue management. This kind of fatigue reaches ecstasy when he or she trains to the absolute muscle failure level, exhausts the muscles and wears down the strength to the max. He or she feels great when a workout has been demanding and exhausting knowing that that translates to muscle growth stimulation. Whether or not it is conscious, the body builders who ever make it to the top league, enjoy post-workout fatigue and will only term a workout successful if it has reached that far. This people love body building for body building’s sake, they train with joy, love and passion, without preset conditions. These are the people who enjoy their workouts and grow phenomenally, since their attitude is right. Exotellic body builders on the other hand, train and diet primarily as a means to secondary motifs and external. They train to get muscles and strength, and not because body building means anything to them. Given a choice, they would do anything else if only to gain their muscles, definition, strength or fitness. In most cases, autotellic body builders sustain their consistency and motivation far than the Exotellic. It is important that a body builder intent on success, nurtures love for the workouts and diets rather than just concentrate on gains.

Why are horses ponied to the start in America?

I learn a lot from the way a horse goes to post in the UK. As they are taken to post with a pony in N.American this aid isn't available. Why do they do this? Is it to do with them not blowing up on the way down - all this going FAST from pillar to post out there?
What don't you understand about my q?

The truth is - your horses are just so much better broke and your training & racing methods so much more conducive to better mental & physical health than ours here in the US, that you don't need a pony with your horses in the warm-up. You guys take your time warming up & cooling down, and ride out on rolling fields and plowed gallops, while our horses are hurried to and from the track, do the vast majority of their conditioning in a constant circle to the left between 2 rails with alot of traffic. It's so much more pressured and stressfull that the horses end up hotter, more difficult to control, if not downright sour. Not all of course - the Curlins and Big Browns of our country are given much more time and individual attention and so tend to be more relaxed in the post parade and easier to rate in the morning as well as in a race. It's also the reason why when 1 of your horses loses its rider early in a race, it usually ends up stopping/leaving the course, right? but here, ours will continue on and run the whole race with the pack - they're so conditioned to going and going when they're in that magic circle. And yes, US methods are undoubtedly a reflection of our greed for the almighty dollar - an assembly line method of production - getting as many horses as we can and pushing them through as fast as we can to make all the $ we can - which is why we wreck and ruin about 1,000 horses to every 1 you do. It's sad but true. I've trained for 35 years and modeled my methods after yours, to preserved my horses minds and bodies so that they have something left as riding or show horses when they are through racing - but I also keep a smaller barn and do most of the work myself so that I can take the time to do so, unlike most US trainers.

Our hippocritical, greedy, capitalist, sense of power & entitlement handed down through generations is what has led to the chaos that is rocking our country now, and drives the hatred that so much of the world has for us.
