Does a pontiac bonneville need an antenna for the remote keyless entry and power door locks switch to work?
Info needed on why my remote keyless entry does not work, and also my power door locks switch in the inside only unlocks my doors, but it won't lock them when the switch is pressed, with this said I don't currently have an antenna installed on the car the one I had on there was a factory powered antenna and the mast recently broke, my remote and door lock switch stop working properly when this occured, so does that mean I need another antenna to get everything back in working order??
The keyless entry system has its own antenna in the keyless entry module, the radio antenna does not affect the keyless entry system. But the power door locks must work form the switch before the keyless entry remote transmitter can work.
