Here are some more information for Racing Cobra:

In 1968, my father had his own mid-life crisis, and much to my mothers dismay, he traded our 1966 VW Micro Bus for a 1968 Ford Shelby GT-500KR. Suddenly, as far as myself and all the local kids were concerned, my dad became the coolest dad in our neighborhood. However, my mother was not impressed.
Our Shelby GT-500KR was green, and sported a convertible top with a roll-bar. Under the hood, this car featured a 428 cubic-inch Cobra Jet V8 which rated at 335 horsepower. Mated to this power plant was an automatic transmission with a center-console mounted shifter. All in all, it was a prime example of a muscle car and an absolute chick magnet. Maybe, that's why my mom was so peeved.
Not soon after my dad bought the Shelby, he took a couple of my cousins out for a fast ride up route 95. This automatic transmission had a couple of low gears accessible by the console shifter which enabled the driver to have a simulated manual transmission enabling the driver to burn rubber at any stop light, or drag strip. Wanting to impress his nephews, dad pulled onto the egress to route 95 in the low gear hit the accelerator, burned rubber, and then blew the engine. Dad and his nephews came home, with the 1968 Shelby Cobra towed by a wrecker. My mom saw the wrecker enter our driveway and just screamed. Needless to say, my dad slept on the sofa for about a week. However, we did get the Cobra Jet engine rebuilt and ready to drive for another day.
One of the reasons for my dads popularity with the neighborhood kids centered around the fact we only lived about one hour from New England Dragways, located in Epping, New Hampshire. The drag strip had their big event every Sunday with many of the top rated Funny Cars and dragsters competing. Neighborhood kids were glad to do a few hours yard work for my dad to get a free ride in the Shelby to go to the drag race. At the time, all us kids were under 12, and could get in for the kids admission price. For a couple of dollars more, you could get a pit pass and go rub elbows with drivers like Don Garlitts, and Don Prudhomme. For my dad, it meant getting out of the house for a few hours away from his business. Sadly, as the group of us got older, and the price of admissions got much higher, the trips to New England Dragways came to an end.
One spring, my dad and I were cruising down the Maine State Turnpike at a blistering 150 MPH with the convertible top down. We came to the top of a hill and flew right past a Maine state trooper parked on the median waiting for speeders. This was in the days before radar, but the police could still tell if you were speeding by the pitch made as your car passed. Well, this trooper may have decided we were just too fast since he never bothered to chase us down. Maybe, he was just preoccupied eating his lunch? We will never know.
Unfortunately, all great things eventually come to an end. The need for cargo space trumped raw horsepower. In 1973, my dad traded his beloved 1968 Shelby GT-500KR in for a brand new Pontiac Grand Safari station wagon. My dear mother was finally happy. Sadly, we learned the kid who became the next owner of our beloved Shelby Cobra wrecked the car while drag racing. I hope the car had a decent burial. As for the driver, may he rot in hell.
To this day, my dad regrets ever parting with his beloved Shelby. However, the car left us with vivid and pleasant memories of our younger days when life was a whole lot simpler for my parents and all the kids. My mother even agrees. Unfortunately, at todays prices, you will never be able to trade a VW Micro Bus for a classic Ford Shelby.

King Cobra Drivers Reviews
From the King Cobra 460 Driver
to their new LD Driver Series
The King Cobra SZ 460 model was introduced in 2005 and is still considered a very technologically advanced golf club. If you don't swing like the pros and still want to get great distance, this is your driver.
The Cobra driver has the largest club face of all the 460 cc drivers on the market. Cobra's improvements in the materials and club construction included
placing a pair of steel inserts near the bottom rear
of the club head. This substantially lowered the club's center of gravity. The large club face hosted a deep rhombus shaped center.
A large, but thinner titanium ring created a huge sweet spot. The cobra engineers were so pleased, they named the club SZ for, what else, Sweet Spot.
The King Cobra 460 SZ driver was built to respond well to a wide variety of golf swings and striking the club head at different slightly different places and at different angles. The results were long and forgiving drives that helped reduce the golfer's score.
The club is still popular today and with the advent of the Cobra LD and Speed LD drivers, have become an outstanding value. The 460cc drivers, which were introduced in 2005 with a suggested retail price of $370.00, are now available at our retail partner Austad's Golf for under $200.00.
If you are looking for a used Cobra golf club driver, shop online for some teriffic prices or check out the Ebay auctions.
Despite the King Cobra 460 driver's great success, Cobra Golf's new entries into the never ending "best golf driver" race are the Speed LD and Speed Pro drivers. Even more forgiving than their older 460 sz cousins, Cobra is laying claim to the "longest, straightest and most forgiving woods" the company has ever offered. The LD stands for Limit Dimensions, which is Cobra's way of telling you they have pushed the driver specifications to the very limit of the USGA rules. The MOI or moment of inertia has a value of 5,000, which is too technical to capture your interest, but the MOI is as high as any all-titanium driver on the market today. However, the key ingredient is the Cobra speed tuning feature , which matches the golfer's individual ball speed, shaft and grip with appropriate Cobra LD driver. The three basic models; LD X (extreme), LD F (fast), LD-M (moderate) feature different loft, club length, face angle, shaft type and flex.
The LD M is probably going to be the most popular as it nicely matches the swing skills of the average golfer. The light weights in both the club face and the shaft help keep the club head square at impact, reducing the tendency to slice or hook the golf ball. The LD M models for men include Straight Neck, Offset and Seniors.
Cobra hasn't forgotten the ladies and the Speed LD M women's driver has a little lighter loft and even less weight to help get the ball off the tee and well down the fairway.
If you are interested in a Cobra driver, the best prices are usually found online. The Cobra Speed series was introduced in a Cobra press release at $480.00. Discount LD models are now available for $299.00.
King Cobra Drivers, whether the tried and true cobra 460 cc driver or the new Speed LD models are an excellent choice for both the PGA tour pro and the weekend amateur golfer.

Should i go with the cobra IRS for my 2003 mustang or a solid rear axle?
i bought my 03 amch 1 salvage turns out i need to change the rear axle.
What should i get the cobras IRS(individual rear suspension) or the stock solid rear axle?
-keeping in mind that im only going to use as a daily driver and maybe race it a couple times at the 1/4 strip.
The solid live rear axle assembly will be FAR easier to locate, and FAR less expensive. The amount of work required to install the IRS as well as the cost of the donor parts needed will make it extremely pricey. The solid live rear axle on the other hand, will be just a direct bolt-in. Hope this helps.
