How much to pay for fitting of bodykit?
I just want to find out how much I should be looking to pay a bodyshop for the painting and fitting of a bodykit that includes a front and rear lip spoiler and sideskirts? I do not want to get ripped off. Thanks.
This depends on a few things,
* Where you live (e.g. UK, USA)
* Type of Car
* What the Body Kit is made of, Plastic, Fiberglass ect
* If the kit needs to be blended in to the body of the car
* If the kit/car needs to be modified for it to be fitted
I got quoted £1000 for a fiberglass kit to be sprayed, fitted and blended on a Ford KA.
The thing I found was it depends on the kit, if you got a cheap one then the chances are that it will need sanding down / slightly modified to fit your car perfectly.
I would highly recommend to take your car and body kit and have a chat with a few garages and get quotes. At a guess I would say your be looking at £800 - £1000 quid in the UK. Its not cheap but remember its not a 5 minute job. Also see what quality work the garage do, sometimes its worth paying a bit more if you can see that they do a better job then some other garages.
