Here are some more information for Rear Spoilers:

How do you go about stopping all that rattling in the trunk when you turn your subs up loud? And why don't most installation shops take care of that? There are a few easy fixes to get 80% of the unwanted noise removed.
The first thing to look at is your tag. Unscrew the tag and glue or secure a piece of cloth or rubber to the back of the tag. In some cases if you have 4 screws holding it in place, you wont have to glue it down. This material on the back of the tag will keep the metal surfaces from vibrating against one another. In a lot of cases, this first step will give you a big reduction in unwanted noise.
Secondly, open the trunk. Underneath the back deck, you will notice two cross bars that control the trunk latch. Take some fleece or cloth material and wrap them good, then zip tie the material in place. To make it look good, use the same color material as the surroundings, like a black or dark grey. Make sure that after wrapping them in material, they can still move freely enough to function properly. These two rods will vibrate against each other if left unwrapped.
With the two main causes of unwanted noise fixed, you may notice that the rattle is completely gone. If that's the case, consider yourself lucky and enjoy it. If you still hear a little rattle you would like to quiet, turn the subs on to a bearable level and open the trunk. Listen for any vibrating parts in there and identify them. If possible, wrap or secure them in place with material and zip ties. If you find that its something like a side quarter panel, you can solve that by placing a large piece of foam between the panel and the frame. These foam pieces can be purchased at any hobby store. trim it to size and push it in place.
Some spoilers will rattle too. See if you can tighten it down. If that doesn't help, remove it and place a rubber or fleece material "washer" between the spoiler and the trunk deck. This should help considerably.
Lastly, if you have a third brake light, these can rattle a lot too. You can do a few easy fixes here. 1) place a small shim between it and the window. Be sure to use something that will absorb vibrations, but wont be noticeable form the outside. You can also try and tighten it down from underneath the rear deck from the trunk.
If you can get all these parts fastened and buffered, you will notice a big difference in the sound quality of your system.

Get the Benefits of Aesthetics and Performance With your Mercedes Spoiler
A spoiler is usually used for aesthetic purposes in cars. It is believed that spoilers can make your car look sportier and cooler. Few people actually know that there's more to it than just aesthetics.
A Mercedes spoiler is an aerodynamic device attached to an automobile whose intended design function is to 'spoil' unfavorable air movement across a body of a car in motion. It does this by disrupting the air flow going over a car so the contact between the tire and the road surface is increased, also increasing traction as well that allows your moving vehicle to brake, turn, and accelerate with more stability. This can result in improved vehicle stability by reducing lift or decreasing drag that may cause unpredictable handling in a car at speed. Another design goal is to increase fuel efficiency.
Spoilers are often fitted to race and high-performance sports cars, although they have become common on passenger vehicles, as well.
However, in most vehicles, high speed is required in order for the spoilers to actually work so it has a great chance that they won't work in slow speeds. If not used properly, these may even be the cause the aerodynamics to become worse.
There are several kinds of Mercedes spoilers available in the market today. A front spoiler, or air dam, is positioned under the front bumper. A rear spoiler, sometimes called a wing, mounts on top of a car's trunklid and is used in racing to create downforce. For pickups, there are also cab spoilers, tailgate spoilers, truck cap spoilers and tonneau cover spoilers. There are also rear window spoilers for SUVs, minivans and even cars simply used to deflect the rain off the rear window.
In racing, particularly in F1 racing, winged spoilers with flaps are mainly to assist braking at cornering at high speeds and at low speeds they only serve the purpose of balancing the vehicle. In NASCAR racing, flat spoilers are only for down force and don't actually assist cornering.
It is important to note that the kind of spoiler you choose for your will affect the handling. Different spoilers have different weights, and adding any amount of weight to the rear of a car will affect your driving as well. Light and sturdy spoilers are made of polyurethane. Other materials commonly used are light weight steel and fiber glass.
Choose the right Mercedes spoiler for your car. Choose one that looks good on your car and one that's functional as well.

What is best way to adjust auto dimming rear view mirror?
On Prius the rear spoiler affects the ability for the auto dimmer to work correctly.
Did not try tape but did use a black marker and dotted the sensor until I got the perfect light sensing...
If you don't want it to dim disconnect the power to the mirror. If you want it dimmer try a piece of black electrical tape over the front sensor on the mirror if it has one. Works on my Grand Prix. I'm not sure if the imports use the same dimming set up.
