Here are some more information for Roof Trim:

So a hurricane has formed and is heading towards you. Hopefully you have some pre-hurricane season preparation like fill your gas cans, fix any roof leaks, trim dead branches, got flashlight batteries and cranked up that generator. Now that it is heading towards you, what last minute things should you do?
Here are six things you can do to prepare before that hurricane hits.
- Fill up three gallons (at a minimum) of water for each person in your house. It's not unusual to have loss of electricity and flooding and the water in your area becomes undrinkable.
- Put all your important documents in a waterproof bag. Important documents include things like insurance policies, wills, contracts passports and other like documents.
- Take pictures of everything in your house. If the worst happens and your house is damaged, you will have proof of what was lost for insurance purposes.
- Remove any outside furniture or anything else that could become a projectile in heavy winds.
- Run the garbage disposal and make sure it is empty. If your power goes out for any time, the food left in the disposal will start to smell very quickly.
- Get out of the way. If the hurricane is considered major, category 3 or above, leave and go someplace out of the way. We all saw what happened to the people of New Orleans who stayed.
This is just a partial list of things you must do before a hurricane hits your area. The last thing you want is to go into a hurricane unprepared, and the electricity goes out.
Believe me, it's no fun.
Trim Your Trees Like A Good Neighbor Should
Your property's biggest natural asset may be its trees. By using professional tree trimming services, you can keep their value and maintain good neighbor relations. Neglected trees, especially those near property lines or streets can be a major source of neighbor conflicts. You can steer clear of such conflicts by maintaining healthy and well-trimmed trees.
Although trees can provide much sought after shade in the summer months, they can also be especially damaging to roofs. Your neighbor may hold you responsible for any damage caused by your tree. Although your neighbor has a right to trim the tree from her side of the property, it is in your best interest to hire a professional to do the tree trimming for you. The last thing you need is for your neighbor or you to fall attempting to trim back the branches of your tree.
Privacy is great but trees overhanging the fence are not. This is one of the most common neighbor complaints. As most fences are a shared cost, neighbors are quick to be concerned about the effect of an overgrown tree branches resting near or on the fence. When the tree is trimmed, it is important not to have more weight on one side of the tree than the other.
Overgrown trees can also block sunlight that your lawn and gardens need to be healthy. Make sure the trimming is done correctly because over time, such an off-kilter tree may fall over and even uproot itself. One way to ensure this doesn't happen is to hire a professional and get permission from your neighbor to access their yard. If you have been diligent in maintaining your trees along the fence line, when it comes time to replace the fence you are likely to have a very cooperative neighbor.
Professional tree trimmers not only keep you safe but advise you on how to keep your trees healthy. Before the storm season, it is also a good idea to have your trees assessed for potential risks. Tree trimmers have been trained to recognize which limbs pose a risk of breaking. Fallen tree limbs can cause major damage to cars, roofs, windows and even injury to people or pets.
Although no one likes to sacrifice a tree, there are times that tree removal is required. An older tree with deep and invasive roots may be causing damage to your or your neighbor's plumbing or foundation. Or perhaps you have a diseased tree. Whatever the case, you may be faced with the decision of tree removal.
In extreme cases, you may need emergency service, so be sure to discuss the reasons and process for the removal of the tree with your neighbor. This will help ensure smooth relations and make the tree removal process easier. Removing a tree, especially a large tree, is no easy feat and a small miscalculation can result in property damage or injury and even death. This job is definitely best left to the professionals.

OK....so the new roof is coming in April. Who do I call to trim my trees?
Is it a arborist? Do I just look in the newspaper or is there some kind of specialty to removing tree limbs which are scraping my roof.
By the way. I chose weathered wood GAF architectual shingles. Its soon to be beautiful. Whatcha think?
The roofer has great credentials and just got back from roofing a whole bunch down in Katrina area. He is known to me for a long time. He told me they put more nails in to keep it from blowing off and gives me a 130 mph wind guarantee to stay on there.
Good choice of shingles. Look for a reputable, insured tree service company in the yellow pages. Oh and make certain your roofer is fully insured as well.
