Here are some more information for Sierra Tailgate:

Weight is always a concern with backpacking food you'll be carrying everything on your back. Some will tell you to find your weight savings in other areas, and argue for the necessity of healthy, meaning heavy, food. My experience, however, tells me that we can enjoy lighter loads and worry less about healthy food on short trips.
In the Sierra Nevada I ate more than 60 granola bars in five days with no ill effects. No stove meant a lighter pack, and it was very convenient to not cook. Of course, I usually supplement my backpacking diet with berries and other wild foods, so it probably wasn't all that unhealthy.
Different Foods For Different Backpackers
Each of us is unique. I don't suffer when I have no cooked meals, but you may. There isn't a one-size-fits-all solution to the backpacking food question. You have to balance the weight/health/taste/cost issues in your own way. Consider the following points, though, in making your choices.
The lightest food is that which has the most calories per ounce. Pure fat wins the contest (oils), followed by high-fat foods (nuts), low moisture carbohydrates (granola bars), proteins (beef jerky), and then bread, fruit, veggies, etc. Nuts, for example, because of their fat content, have 50% more calories per pound than pure sugar.
Look at the lables. Choose foods you like, but choose the ones that are higher in calories for their weight. In that way, you get what you want, what your body needs for energy, and you keep it light. I usually plan for about 3000 calories a day. This isn't quite enough (I'm 6'3", 160 pounds), so I'll lose a pound or two on a weekend trip.
Bringing high-calorie foods like mixed nuts (2700/pound) and tortilla chips (2100/pound), I can get by with about 20 ounces of food per day. For a four day trip I'll carry around 5 pounds. Eat a big meal before you go, and you can carry less food (although you'll carry it inside you anyhow). You can cut weight if you know which berries to eat along the trail. I've eaten an entire meal of rasberries during one break while hiking in Colorado.
Healthy Backpacking Food
For a healthier trip, try this: Eat a large salad right before you leave, and right after you get back. If you also eat berries and herbs along the way, you can concentrate on bringing only light backpacking food, and your health won't suffer.
A more obvious alternative is to spend some money. Enough money, and you can feast on nutrition-packed, calorie-rich foods the whole time you are hiking. Try bee pollen, spirolina, raw nuts and seeds, molasses, dried papaya - I could go on, but you get the idea.
Finally, don't forget the freeze-dried meals and other traditional backpacking foods. They are not necessasrily healthy, and can be very expensive, but they sure are convenient and tasty. You can always pack ramen noodles if you want cheap food.

Gm's Tonawanda Plant Eyeing Diesel Engine
General Motor’s Tonawanda Powertrain plant has made a formal bid to take hold of the production of the newest GM’s lineup of engines which is the 4.5 liter high-output diesel. This new engine is what a spokeswoman had earlier mentioned which the local plant was eyeing starting last March. The said engine will also be part of the 2010 model year mid-size pickup trucks such as the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra. The production of the said engine would start in 2009.
However according to spokeswoman Mary Ann Brown in an interview with British trade paper she refute reports saying that the Tonawanda plant will produce the new diesel. She said that such report is false.
The local plant acted after the Erie County Industrial Development Agency has approved last May 21 the additional $350,000 in sales tax savings for the facility in case the GM decides to invest $88 million and add a diesel engine to its line of stable products.
According to Brown the engine as well as the financial assistance which she called the final element of the plant’s business case would help in retaining 150 jobs at the manufacturing complex that presently employs 1,860 workers.
Aside from the Erie County’s help the business case will also include the plant’s track record for quality of work, efficiency, union-management cooperation, production costs and responsiveness to the needs of its customers. Unfortunately, Brown said that she still doesn’t know when decision will be made.
At present GM the manufacturer of high quality GMC tailgate handle is already making a diesel engine for heavy duty full-size trucks but they are being produced by another plant
On the other hand the diesel engine that is being sought by the Tonawanda facility has been the subject of widespread speculation starting last fall when employees were expecting for its announcement. However no announcement was made and one industry analyst thinks that GM is probably delaying it because of the problem on gas prices. It can be noted that the prices of gas has decline from $3-a-gallon last August and then climb again over the $3 limit where it is likely to remain.
The present national average price of gasoline has been over $3 for some time now and last Wednesday it has increased to $3.20 per gallon that is according to the AAA Daily Fuel Gauge Report. Although no diesel announcement was made last 2006, GM did say however that in January it will award the Tonawanda plant production of its advanced V8 gasoline engine which are to be employed for future luxury vehicles. Manufacturing will commence in 2009 and it is expected to be sustained through 2019 model year or beyond.
And as part of the company’s $300 million investment, Plant 5 located on Vulcan Street where the V8 engine will be produced is presently undergoing renovation. Also included in the investment are the machineries and tools for production.
The ECIDA has taken a key role in approving the financial assistance packages for the other GM projects as well. For over the last 10 years, General Motors has invested a total of $1.5 billion in the Tonawanda plant that produces six different engine types and is one of the automaker’s favorite especially if it needs to launch a new line of engines.

1989 GMC Sierra Emblem Needed?
So I drive a 1989 GMC Sierra K2500 with "GMC" centered on the tailgate. The only problem is that the M went missing a few years ago and the G went missing today. So now it just reads "C". Does anyone know where I could get new letters? They're reflective and red. I tried looking a few places with no luck. An online store that ships out would be preferable, but any automotive place in northeast Ohio works too.
If nothing comes up I think I'm just going to rip the C off as well. It looks absolutely rediculous.
try ebay, your local gmc dealer, or call ur local salvage yards
