can i use a .011 stainless steel fender electric string on an acoutic as a high e?
Well my acoustics high E broke, and i dont really want to buy a new pack of strings becuz i recently bought a pack of fender stainless steel to replace my electric guitars high e. so i was wondering if i could use the second highest string (meant for string b) from the pack of fender strings. Can you use electric strings on acoustic? and can you use B strings as e? thank you 
yes you can , i used to run all electric strings in my acoustic because they feel so nice and are easy to bend.
the only draw back is , you dont get as much volume from them.
they are wound differently. but it will work for ya for a while.
if you get a little buzz problem, just loosen the string and put a small piece of paper under the string in the notch in the nut.
