Here are some more information for Switch Relay:

I hear from CCNA and CCNP candidates every day, and the most common question is "What routers and switches should I buy for my home lab?" There is no one right answer to this question, since every test candidate has a different budget. There are also CCNA candidates who want to go on to the CCNP and want to know what routers and switches are best for future study. Again, there's no one right answer, but there are routers that fit every budget and every study plan - and the Cisco 2520 router is the king of home study labs.
The 2520 has four serial ports, one ethernet port, and a BRI port. You can use a 2520 as a frame relay switch, and still have ports to spare to practice routing protocols and directly connected serial interfaces. I know ISDN home simulators are still expensive if bought new, but you can get a used one on eBay and go from there. Even if you choose not to buy an ISDN simulator now, the 2520 gives you that opportunity for future home lab growth - and "planning for future growth" is important when it comes to your home lab as well as production networks!
2520s are also remarkably affordable. Check your favorite online auction site for prices. You may also want to search on the phrase "frame relay switch".
I know that getting started on your Cisco home lab can be a little scary, but it's a vital part of being totally prepared to pass the CCNA and CCNP exams. Hands-on work is imperative in learning any skill - after all, great chefs don't learn to cook on kitchen simulators! Visit online auction sites and used Cisco equipment resellers and see what's out there - and if you're wondering where to start, the 2520 is a great way to start building your own Cisco home lab!

Five Reasons to Migrate to Mpls (multiprotocol Label Switching)
Is your business trying to decide whether to move to MPLS (Multiprotocol Label Switching)? If so, here are five reasons to make the switch:
COST-EFFECTIVE: MPLS services can save a company between 10% to 25% compared to Frame Relay and ATM data services. If voice and data capabilities are added, the savings can jump up to approximately 40% for the entire network.
QOS CAPABILITIES: One main advantage of using MPLS services is its QoS capabilities. This is of upmost importance for companies utilizing voice and video.
PERFORMANCE UPGRADE: Increased response time and improved application performance are advantages for utilizing MPLS services. This reduces the number of "hops" between network points, which are the "any-to-any" features MPLS offers.
DISASTER RECOVERY: MPLS services offer data backup/disaster recovery capabilities by connecting data centers and other key sites in multiple redundant ways to the cloud. Unlike Frame Relay and ATM networks which require either switched or backup permanent-virtual-circuits, MPLS services allow remote sites to quickly and easily reconnect to backup locations, when applicable. This flexibility is a major advantage of MPLS over Frame Relay and ATM.
FUTURE-PROOFING THE NETWORK: Businesses realize MPLS is "the wave of the future" and are making the switch from Frame Relay and ATM services to MPLS. This switch is mainly for fear that they will be left behind. Competition is tight among businesses in all industries, so having a more cost-effective and more efficient network system gives them a fighting chance.
In summary, MPLS offers a more manageable and cost-effective network solution. Not only is the system simpler, but also more responsive, scalable and flexible by offering multiple services.

Where is the relay switch on a 2000 Nissan Xterra for the power door locks?
My keyless entry remote will unlock all my doors, however my interior door lock switches do not work at all. When I do press the interior door lock buttons I hear a clicking noise by the interior fuse panel located on the dash to the left of the steering wheel. I don't exactly know what the problem is, but it was suggested that the clicking noise is a sign of a relay. Please help me identify this problem and fix it. Thank you very much!
No relays except in the smart entry control module that is a beige colored box with a white and black plug right under the dash near the steering coloum. the switches send un lock and lock signals to the smart entry box that inturn operates the actulators inside the doors. There is a 40 amp circuit breaker and a 7.5 amp fuse near the battery that runs the power lock system. Check that 7.5 amp fuse. Perhaps you can tell me the symptom you are having? jp.hudson@sbcglobal.net
