Cal poly San Luis Obispo, Pomona vs UC schools?

I read that cal poly Pomona and San Luis Obispo are better schools than most if not all UC schools in the engineering and architecture programs. So if that is true, why is none of these two schools not even listed on the top 50 schools in America to go to for engineering. People said the atmosphere, the cost, and the way things are taught is better and that going to a UC is a moral thing that makes you feel better. Can i get some opinions about this

people can say things but may never mean it or mean it to be true. Cal poly SLO has all majors impacted and the school itself is impacted. cal poly pomona has pretty much the same but to a lesser extent. UC schools are more rigorous and require higher standards for incoming students, they maybe similar to the cal poly standards on incoming students.
any college is good as long as you get yourself in to college (execpt online college) the way things are taught is pretty much the same all through out, the professors may jazz things up a bit making so that they are seemed "better in a school than most."
although cal polys may not be listed as top 50, they certainly are great schools to go to.
