Here are some more information for Vent Escalade:

Not long ago, I was at Starbucks on the patio sipping on a Latte and a gal drives up in a Cadillac Escalade (Black with Silver and Gold Accented Trim) and pulls in. I could see water dripping off the bottom of the car, and it looked pristine. I therefore reasoned that she had just gotten it washed and came from the most excellent car wash right next door. So, I said; "Your car looks terrific," and she smiled, but then frowned and rebuffed;
"My Car Has Such Dusty Vents, Quite Yukky - I ordered the $32.00 deluxe car wash - interior and exterior," but they didn't clean my vents - and when I asked the guy why not - he just told me that it didn't come with vent-cleaning, for that I had to get a full-detail, well, please!" I could feel her pain, but I was sure once she had her caffeine she would calm down, and I was right. When she came back out, I said; "You know cleaning your own vents isn't that hard"
You see, most people do not even notice all the dust that gathers around your car vents? Did you know that this is very unhealthy for you? The dust contains all sorts of bacteria, and yucky things like animal dander, plastic particles, and allergens. So, what you need to do is to clean these vents early and often. Below are some tips;
1. Get out your owner's manual and look in it to see where the interior air filters are, yes your car has one or more, some people don't even know that. Usually they are below the glove box, but they could be anywhere depending on your vehicle make and model.
2. Pick a new one up at the auto parts store, you'll need to tell the person at the counter your make, model and year, then go and replace it.
3. Next, look in your manual to see how to unhook those little directional vents in your car so you can take them out. To do this job properly you need to pull them out.
4. It is recommended that you soak them in pretty warm water to loosen up the years of debris, and caked on muck. 10-15 minutes is a good amount of time for this.
5. You also need to take a micro-fiber cloth or paper towels and wipe out the inside of the vents as far as you can reach inside, if you find it is slippery, and oily, it's obvious you've waited far too long, and some of that stuff is now in your lungs. I told you this was important.
6. After you've loosened all the muck from the vents, brush them with an old tooth brush and keep re-dunking them into the soapy water. Next rinse them out in the sink and lay them in the Sun, as the UV light will help kill most of the bacterial content which remains.
7. Pop the vents back into place, but don't force them, they are not made very strong and you can break them, thus they will never work right again.
Once you get all that gook off your vents you will see why this was so important, and you will be healthier for it. Please consider all this.

2010 Cadillac SRX
Initially given the name Cadillac BRX, the new model will arrive as the 2010 Cadillac SRX. It might seem to be a known model for you only because the concept of this powerhouse car was introduced to the world back in August and the design of the car that was unveiled is quite similar to the finished one.
2010 Cadillac SRX will once again appear in the Detroit auto show in the end of this month. With some advanced technology SRX is comparatively smaller than the model it is going to replace. You will not find some of the features like cargo capacity, rear-wheel drive, third-row seats and legroom in this new model. Instead it offers more fuel-efficiency and more fantastic appointments.
Based on Theta Premium platform 2010 Cadillac SRX also incorporates some elements of the Epsilon mid-size car. The 2010 Chevrolet Equinox and 2010 GMC Terrain were also based on the regular Theta architecture. The SRX doesn’t have any hybrid option yet. However we can expect a hybrid version later on.
SRX is powered by two engines. The power comes from either a 3.0l WT E85 V6 engine or a 2.8l Turbocharged V6. While the first one cranks 260 horse power at 6950 rpm and delivers 221 pound feet of torque at 5600 rpm, the other engine produces 300 power house at 5500 rpm and offers 295 pound feet of torque at 1850 rpm. Both the engines are run by a standard Hydra-Matic 6T70 six-speed automatic transmission.
GM claims at that the 3.0l E85 unit produces 260 horse power which is 5% more than its predecessor used to produce. The fuel economy of this new model has also been improved from 10 to 15%.
The buyers will be provided a choice between front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. Though both the models offer great traction control, the AWD model moves one step ahead with the rear eLSD. If the road condition is icy or wet the system has the capability of transferring up to 100% of torque to the wheel that offers more grip. The system also helps the driver to get better control on the car during a high-speed maneuver.
2010 Cadillac SRX boosts a number of luxury features. SRX has got a pop-up navigation system, which is quite similar to that of the CTS. It also features a leather cover (hand-sewn) and a dual-screen rear entertainment system, which is optional. The other features that SRX includes are 18/20 inch wheels, chrome fender vents, vertical headlights and so on.

2004 Cadillac Escalade Heat and A/C Not Working Properly?
I just got back from a 60-day trip and turned on my 2004 Escalade ESV and the heat in the front did not work (i.e. no air (cold or hot) came from the front vents including front windshield). The rear vents did work properly. What is the potential problem?
If you have no blower in all speeds, don't bother checking fuses because there are 2 fuses, one fuse is for blower speed control and one is for MAX speed,(i doubt very much that you have 2 bad fuses).
I would suspect the blower motor control processor (A.K.A. resistor) very common. (right next to the blower motor)
Place blower on MAX, leave resistor plugged,
check for 12V at red wire at resistor plug ,if OK.
check for 12V purple wire,coming out of back of resistor, NOT in connector,
if OK
check ground (black wire)going to blower motor NOT in connector, if OK
replace blower motor, BUT I think you'll find No Ground out of resistor, REPLACE RESISTOR.
Hope that wasn't too confusing.
