In any home design process, the way that your space functions is the main concern. However, the look of the area is also important, to both the homeowners and to their guests who visit. This makes the process of selecting the best options more difficult. You may have had a designer or friend suggest chrome wire shelving as a possibility for storage options in your home, but may be unsure of how it can work in your home's decor. The good news is that this affordable and durable option is more flexible than most people imagine.
If you are already familiar with wire shelving brands such as Nexel or Metrorack, you may have first seen them used in a garage or outdoor space. Of course, they do work great for garages and workshops. In these applications, you often are storing heavy duty items that need a storage system that can hold up to a bit of abuse. Industrial solutions makes sense in an outdoor space. But, does chrome wire shelving have a place inside the home as well?
Look in any modern home and you likely see a lot of high tech home equipment, such as appliances and big screen televisions. With a bit of attention to details, there is no reason that chrome wire shelving can't fit into this overall look. Metal adjustable shelving can be used in place of furniture; for example, a single low shelf makes a classy end table. It is also perfect for organizing a walk-in closet or pantry. Even in applications where the shelving is out in the open, you can add features to make it fit into the decor. In a kitchen, butcher block inserts make a lovely bar or food preparation station. For a dining area, or living room, you might consider adding glass inserts to improve the appearance of the shelving.
In the home, chrome wire shelving has many more uses than most people imagine. Instead of leaving this durable option in the garage, you should definitely take a look at the many ways that wire shelving can improve your home. From the kitchen, recreation room, bathroom, or bedroom, metal adjustable shelving should always be one of the storage options that you consider for a beautiful and functional home.

Google Chrome Browser is the New Kid on the Block!
It had to come sometime and it is here! Google Chrome is the new kid on the block when it comes to web browsers and I must say that it seems like I will be trading all my browsers for the Google Chrome.
I have downloaded the browser earlier today and it was installed automatically on my computer in record time. I was quite surprised to find that the Google Chrome browser is much faster than expected and that makes it a winner in my eyes at this time. The new graphic user interface is clean; another plus from me, but it was quite another story figuring out where what is on the menu. It took me a short while to discover the navigation of the Google Chrome browser and now it is already making me think twice before opening any other browser that I used in the past.
What I found comforting is the "New incognito window" function that allow you to surf any site and leave absolutely no trace in your browser history nor does it leave any other tell tale information such as cookies. This is a function that I dreamt off for a long time, not that I want to use it to be anonymous but rather to keep my surfing habits private from advertising companies that make use of cookie tracking.
The next welcoming sight is the amount of actual screen space that is available for viewing the website that you visit. With no menu bar you claim a few inches of screen space that make it an absolute pleasure to browse web pages with continuous content that was split in the past. Another screen space saver is the browser tabs and the way that is arranged at the top of the screen. It has the same feel as Firefox but to my surprise I actually found that it is much better to use and more user-friendly.
Back to the installation; after the Google Chrome browser was installed, I cinched at the idea of downloading Flash again or to get flash to work properly with the browser - like with Firefox. Quite to my surprise I found flash working perfectly on loading my first site with a flash file embedded into the pages. This is once again a plus point for the Google Chrome browser.
There is another screen space saver and that is the combination of the address and search bar. It is at first very strange to make use of this function if it was not used before. While using IE, not by choice, I got lazy and would just type the keyword in the address bar and hit enter. With Google setup as my default search, it just started the Google search with the keyword and it seems like this was the whole idea from Google in the first place. Well, they deserve the Noddy Badge for this nice function - sorry if you do not understand the expression but this is a color full South African expression.
The real reason for my enthusiasm for the Google Chrome browser is the fact that I now will be able to read through my articles without having to scroll up and down through the pages as there will be enough screen space to read the bulk of the articles on my Find Article Site. The Google Chrome browser also loads much faster and will make my life much easier dealing with my Find Article site.

a realistic view of stops in negative vs chrome?
Chrome has fewer, but does that mean much?
Shouldn't fill light and other techniques negate this? I know that sometimes we need a little bit more, well anyway, what's your opinion.
I can still get dmax and zone 9 ( for darkroom prints)
Negatives have a couple to 4 stops more than trannies, depending on the film and how you shot and processed it. Pushing and pulling are your friends with transparency.
When you say dmax to 9 I assume you mean darkroom b/w prints, although color neg is even more forgiving, especially for an accomplished color printer.
Chrome, you go past its latitude and you get something like zone 4,5,6, 7 (maybe) and then you drop off to dmax or dmin (9,10). No information to tease out.
You can use fill and render a beautiful image in transparency - it will have a smaller contrast range, but...depending on the subject matter it may or may not matter.
For landscape when you want as wide a latitude as you can get, overexpose and underdevelop (pull.) Contracting contrast seems counter intuitive, but the overexposure opens up the shadows while the underdevelopment reduces the highlights so the color pops.
Little-known browser makes its big play
Norway's Opera Software — big in Eastern Europe — chases after IE, Firefox and Chrome.
